COVID-19 (Preparing for Return)

Greetings From Beautiful Cozumel, Mexico

It has been a difficult time for all of us since the beginning of COVID-19. However, we are preparing to return to Cozumel when the time permits.

In the meantime, we want to ensure our divers that we are taking all necessary precautions to make your next dive trip with us an enjoyable experience. The great advantage about the sport of Scuba Diving is that we are in and under the water, for much of the time you are with us.

In summary, this is inherently social distancing and a win for you and us.

We all are going to be adjusting to the new normal that we will all be experiencing.

Below are some of the guidelines that we have implemented on the boat to help all of us stay safe and still enjoy the blue Caribbean water of Cozumel.

  • 1 LIMITED CAPACITY to allow Social Distancing. Maximum 7 divers – plus Dive Master and Captain. Due to limited capacity, we will need to enforce a strict 48-hour cancellation policy.
  • 2 We will also keep a clean environment, as we always have, on the boat before and after the dives; this will add to a safe experience for everyone.
  • 3 ENHANCED CLEANING OF GEAR – All rental gear will be disinfected before and after trips. We will provide a disinfectant rinse for our divers to wash their hands before using the equipment. We will also recommend that you keep your gear organized while on the boat. We will still offer to wash, rinse, and stow your dive gear after the dive. Your dive gear will be disinfected and cleaned by our staff. Should you prefer to handle your gear, we ask that you thoroughly clean your equipment before bringing it back on the boat. This is merely a safety factor for all of us on the boat.
  • 4 We will still offer snacks for the surface interval. However, the snacks will all be sealed in individual packages.
  • 5 We will request that you wear a mask while onboard the boat as much as possible, i.e., marina to dive site, surface interval, and dive site back to the marina.
  • 6 Since this is all new to our divers and us, we will keep you posted if any additional vital points will be added for your safety.
